Crepe Myrtle
Compact, rounded head and smooth, mottled red/brown bark. It produces lime green leaves in late spring, which mature to green in the summer before turning brilliant red, orange, and yellow in autumn. Large cone shaped panicles of pure white flowers in summer. 4m tall x 3m wide in ten years.
