Crepe myrtle
Has a compact rounded head and smooth mottled bark. Lime green leaves in spring age green through summer and turn brilliant red, orange and yellow colours in the autumn. Large, cone-shaped panicles of light pink to pale purple flowers in summer. 4m tall x 3m wide in ten years.
